SLOKA OF THE DAY:

Bhagavad Gita As It Is -
Chapter 7 Text 20

kamais tais tair hrta-jnanah
prapadyante 'nya-devatah
tam tam niyamam asthaya
prakrtya niyatah svaya

kamaih--by desires; taih taih--various; hrta--deprived of; jnanah--knowledge; prapadyante--surrender; anya--to other; devatah--demigods; tam tam--corresponding; niyamam--regulations; asthaya--following; prakrtya--by nature; niyatah--controlled; svaya--by their own.

TRANSLATION

Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures.

JOURNAL:

His Holiness Radhanath Swami is coming to Portland this weekend on a book tour. I love listening to his talks (see the Audio Offerings section) and am hoping to meet him. It will be a busy weekend for me because we are moving. Still, I need to make the time!
