SLOKA OF THE WEEK
(from Krishna.com):

Sri Tulasi-arati, Text Three

jako patra, manjari komala
sri-pati-carana-kamale lapatani
dhanya tulasi meiya, purana tapa kiye,
sri-salagrama-maha-patarani

TRANSLATION

Your leaves and soft manjaris are entwined at the lotus feet of Narayana, the Lord of Lakshmi. O blessed mother Tulasi, you performed successful austerities and have thus become the chief consort and queen of Sri Salagrama-sila.

JOURNAL:

Namo Namah Tulasi Krishna-preyasi Namo Namah!

I was immediately attracted the first time I took part in Tulasi arati. The bouncy melody, circumabulating with the other devotees, a chance to water her, it was all so joyous!

The song that is sung is officaly called "Sri Tulasi Kirtana (Tulasi Arati)", but is commonly known by its course line, "Namo Namah Tulasi Krishna Preyasi". It is acredited to Krishna Das.
