Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.8.18
kunty uvacanamasye purusham tvadyamisvaram prakriteh paramalakshyam sarva-bhutanam
antar bahir avasthitam

TRANSLATION

Srimati Kunti said: O Krishna, I offer my obeisances unto You because You are the original personality and are unaffected by the qualities of the material world. You are existing both within and without everything, yet You are invisible to all.

Here is a basic definition of God. At the very start of this book we are shown that the Queen knows well what she is talking about. We are shown also how to approach the Lord. Jesus did the same thing when He taught "The Lord's Prayer" to His disciples with the opening words; Our Father, Who art in heaven, hollowed be Thy Name.
